NYS State 146 District Assemblyman Jack Quinn

Jack Quinn was elected to serve the 146th Assembly District in November 2004. His district includes most of Southern Erie County.

Assemblyman Quinn is a graduate of the University at Buffalo Law School and Siena College. After graduating UB Jack went to work for the New York State Office of Science Technology and Academic Research (NYSTAR). During his tenure at NYSTAR, Quinn traveled our State talking to leaders about emerging technologies and the changing economy. He also worked with higher educational institutions in an attempt to create partnerships with private business opportunities.

Following his time at NYSTAR, the Assemblyman joined the Erie County District Attorney’s Office. Under the leadership of then-District Attorney Frank Clark, Quinn worked tirelessly to bring criminals to justice and make our communities a safer place to live and raise a family.

Jack’s upbringing and commitment to Western New York are what drove him to seek elected office. As an assemblyman he has worked tirelessly to cut taxes, end wasteful spending and provide opportunities for today’s families and tomorrow’s leaders. He has advocated strongly for creating a workforce centered around emerging technologies and supported funding educational initiatives that will provide our area with real economic, social and community development.

In 2008, Quinn and two of his Assembly colleagues formed the RemaiNY taskforce. This group has traveled the State talking with young professionals, educational leaders, business owners and students in attempt to provide new initiatives that will lead to economic growth and a prosperous future for all New Yorkers.

Active within the community, Jack is member of the Hamburg Sunrise Rotary, Erie County Bar Association, Hamburg Rod and Gun Club, Southtowns Walleye, Hamburg Snow Mobile Club and is a parishioner at Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church in the Village of Hamburg.
